Jeremiah Wright Jr., the controversial pastor, close family friend, and spiritual advisor of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, will not be coming to Dallas this weekend for a black church summit and awards banquet honoring him, Brite Divinity School officials announced Wednesday on Brite’s Web site.
Wright also has canceled plans to speak at three services at a Houston church on Sunday, the Houston church’s pastor said.
