Fantasy Ave Gemini Edition feat. Esco aka Dr. Evil

Fantasy Ave at Avenue 29 is the new upscale Caribbean style spot in North Miami Beach/Aventura area. Miami has been missing a nice upscale weekly spot where people can come out in their best, but are able to still have a good time.

Celebrating my birthday month I decided to finish the Gemini extravaganza at Fantasy Ave (Avenue 9) for the Gemini Edition. I arrived around 12:53am and for a spot that goes to 5a.m. they had a good amount of people; I mean what you would expect; everyone was free before 1am. Now the vibe walking in automatically was stush (stuck up, high maintenance). Everyone too me was still trying to catch a vibe and feel out the spot, since it’s been a while reggae has happened there.

Crown Prince was playing by this time and I don’t know if it was them or the crowd, but I could not catch a vibe. I know of them from Orlando and they play good, but the goodness was not working for them that night. Now the vibe kicked off when Prodigy touched the Laptop (haha). I don’t know what it is, but you can never go wrong with Shadow fire on the mic and Killa Mike spinning the tunes. They had the crowd bubbling right down to Esco’s aka Dr. Evil’s performance, which was great. I never new how much songs the man had til they zipped right threw them one after another. I loved the fact that he new it was a club and didn’t pull up, re-play or tell a story; he sang his songs and moved the hell on. No long movie stage show performance, it was nice and short. Special K of Black Chiney did his thing….he looked nervous, but he pulled throw and kept the vibes going. Shadow hopped back on to help him out as he spinned the tunes. Slim got up on the Mic early with Killa Mike; I though he would bring slackness, but he was on good behavior. He said a few words, but did not get into 100% slim mode. Barrie Hype of Black Shadow Sound is the man when it comes to Soca no matter where he is. They play the right stuff to keep the vibes going; it never fails when it comes to his segment. Supa Sound was a no show, which was bad, because with the amount of women that was there a good girl tune segment was needed. Their LITERALLY was 5 girls to every man that night. I know if Supa Sound was there they would have gave it their best with the girl tunes.

The party was great and so packed they had to open each section to make space. This party was supposed to go on til 5am, but of course you have fools who do not know how to act and a fight nearly broke out. Too many females can be a bad thing sometimes, because it was a group of hot ass chicks dancing up on everyone who may have ended up dancing with the wrong person. They tried to wrap it up quick, but unfortunately after like 15 more minutes, Barrie Hype was saying goodnight. Despite the fact that girl tunes where limited, the night was real good.

Fantasy Ave has to keep it up from this point on, because after the Gemini Edition people are going to expect even better vibes. If they keep it up (despite the uncontrollable drama that can happen) Fantasy Ave will be a successful Friday night Party. View Photos

Wale Mini Review from NOCTURNAL Miami 5/27/11

First off I would like to express that I am a Wale fan, so if this comes off extra harsh just know my damn feelings was hurt! I rep Wale for two reasons, 1st he from D.C. and its rare that artist such as Wale make it out of D.C. They normally are local and that's it but he did it. 2nd his Music I love it! His flows, his words everything about him paints a perfect picture of an artist! Well not at Nocturnal!!!!

I would say the show was hot, but you can't really call 4 1/2 songs a show. So let's call this a baby review of Wale live at Nocturnal; which was JUST ok!!! I arrived around 12-ish and the line to get in was crazy. I just said thank Jesus I didn't have to wait in that line. The promoter Tristian who I was dealing with looked out and kept his word 100%, which is great! There was a decent crowd inside, but not that packed. Walshy Killa from Black Chiney was in the booth acting a damn fool on the mic. You know when a person loves what they do, because he was up in that DJ booth having a ball! After a few rounds of pictures and a drink, I was literally was suffocating by the amount of people that showed up. DJ Bre and his MC shelled it and played the right music to get the people jumping. I love to see when a DJ's can go from Hip-Hop to Pop and have the crowd jumping right threw! Dj Bre did the damn thing on the mixing; but the MC took it up 3 more notches. Soon after you had Rich Kid touch the mic with his hit "Get money." He had that crowd rocking to the track, but nothing else after. Rick Kid we need more music!!! You had an Artist by the name if Rello, who's music, was off the hook! I got to get a sample and when I do if you love hip hop you gonna love Rello. Slim came and got stank on the mic, but did what he do best.

Before that for 2 hrs I kept hearing Wale 15 minutes away, till he finally appeared. When he did you would have never notice, because he is so short. I truly felt like an Amazon next to him, because of my heels. He looked humble and in chill mode when he first got there, but after a while it changed. Getting a picture was literally a nightmare, because from what I was told he did not want any. WHATTTT!!! What do these celebs expects? You had people pay VIP money just to get a pic or even a wud up. I understand they want to party, but understand we in a recession, so interacting with fans, especially in VIP would have been nice. I don’t know what the deal was, but it got real crazy, real quick to the point I was aggravated. Wale looked like he was not in the mood after a while or he did not want to be there. He seemed so unhappy about something or maybe that’s just him. Being a D.C. vet I know that’s how some D.C. dudes come off, but are cool ass dudes. On some real shit though he just looked pissed. At first I thought it had something to do with Club owners or promoters, but after seeing him at Spring Fest I noticed he had the same vibe. So I am going to assume something was wrong. If he gets aggravated by people wanting a picture, autograph or even an interview he needs to retire. Thankfully he was NOT rude to me and the pictures I got where aight, I just felt bad for those who looked extra hurt. I mean there was a white dude that had a sharpie for Wale to sign his hate and the way he was treated was messed up. I just pray Wale is happy with his Maybech deal and his new surroundings. He still does not mesh to me since he comes off so humble and real, but we will see where the Maybach Label goes from here. Not saying Rick Ross ain't humble, but he ain't the cool ass dude I knew when his first single was still underground. But I guess that's how it goes when you reach to a certain level.

Anyway the show was a great success and even though it was a baby preview, Wale still showed up and did his thing. I pray the next time I see Wale, I get hired to be on his team and hope he feels better to socialize. DMV I rep all day, so till next time be sure you cope that new album “Self Made Volume I,” and rep my boy Wale!

This Is How Pharrell Williams Is Living here in MIAMI

Can we say HOT!!! I love how he embraces "Family Guy” all up in the house. The stair case, ummm not a big fan of, but is very creative and different. I love the Adam and Eve/Roman times’ theme going on in his pool area. I really would like to know what he is thinking as he stands there scratching his head? Looking over somewhere in Miami, what else can he possibly be missing?

Poor Suge Knight........

The Suge Knight case in which he was seeking over a million dollars after being shot at Kanye West’s Miami party has been thrown out. A Miami judge has dismissed the case due to a lack of evidence. Suge Knight Claims Kanye did not provide adequate security at his event. News from Hip Hop Gossip by Randa

REALLY!!! Suge need to go to sleep, get a job or start his own security company. It’s so funny how this big giant looking mutha-f-er was so big and bad back in the 90’s! You know talking all that shit and bullying people out of things. Makes you think twice about if he really was an undercover cop or working with feds, because his ass was too gangster! Real thugs don’t show that shit all in the open the way he did. So this entire case, suing Kanye for lack of Security at an event is so LAME of him! We all know you broke Suge and times are ruff, but try something that does not make you look like a big punk. I mean you already lost your thug credibility after getting knocked out by a Barber. Now you get shot and trying to sue for a million dollars! Um such a dang on shame, big for nothing! I guess he’s trying to start another label or maybe even that security business? Who knows??

Is Savannah ready for Miami?

Doesn't Lebron girl Savannah look unhappy? I wonder if she is worried? I mean who wouldn't be after Dewayne Wade and his high school sweet heart break up or the Shaq and Shaunie O'Neal Miami melt down, oh we can't forget the horrible show Basket Ball Wives. I mean unless she is already going through the Basketball wives situation, I hope and pray Savannah is ready for the fight of her life. There are women down here who is ready to take her man. I mean that is everywhere, but in Miami it's like the women here do anything to be in the lime light, even if it is as second best!

My prayers goes out to her for real, because its about to on and poppin for her man!

The Heat is Official

Yes to all you none believers LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are all on one team in one of the hottest city's in the world! Miami Heat made it official and it felt real when all three men where seen in their Jersey. The Heat Summer of 2010 Welcome Event at the American Airlines Arena right here in Miami made it so official! Thanks to The Life Files, seeing these three men in this photo just official made Miami the #1 groupie city in the Country. We already had all the celebs, hustlers and groupies here, this union just tripled the ratings!

I just pray this union does not end up like the Shaq union, because having some of the best players in the NBA can also be a downfall all because of egos. Well only time can tell! Miami Let's get it in!
