[The Signal]Some students at The College of New Jersey held a mock election Thursday, electing Barack Obama President of New Jersey, the college newspaper The Signal reports.
Obama won by 69%.
Because of this rout of Mrs. Clinton, The Signal is calling upon Hillary to drop out of the race:
“The Democratic Party must now coalesce around one candidate - the one with the most delegates, contests won and the popular vote - and focus on defeating Sen. John McCain, who essentially represents a third term of George W. Bush,” the student newspaper said.The Signal added:
“Obama's commanding victory [in the mock election] on Thursday demonstrates a clear trend this election season: He has a profound ability to energize and invigorate a younger generation of Americans by making them feel, often for the first time, that they actually have a stake in our electoral process.”
What reason did The Signal give for Obama’s popularity among the college set? Why, he does drugs, of course!
“In one striking example, he has spoken honestly about his youthful drug use. Rather than...just-say-no...Obama refreshingly acknowledged reality and used the issue to relate to what young people are actually going through, " in other words BONG HITS.
It is not surprising then, concludes The Signal, that:
“Obama's character has attracted so many - young and old, black and white.”
In addition, the students add:
“Obama could have simply thrown [his] pastor [the Reverend Wright] under the bus…[b]ut he instead…tied the Civil Rights era rhetoric of his black former reverend to the hateful racial rhetoric of his own white grandmother...[throwing her under the bus instead]”.
Hillary Clinton could not be reached for comment on whether she would be dropping out of the race in the face of this stunning defeat.
Well done College of New Jersey, well done.
