HANOI JANE FONDA ENDORSES BARACK OBAMA OVER WAR PRISONER WHO REFUSED TO MEET WITH THE “TRAITOR” 30 YEARS AGO

[Los Angeles Times]

A zillion years ago, in another time in the United States called the 70’s, movie actress Jane Fonda traveled to Hanoi, North Vietnam, and posed for an infamous press photo astride a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun.

Ironically, current Republican presidential nominee John McCain was in the middle of his 5-year stay at the “Hanoi Hilton”, a navy pilot who was shot down over North Vietnam by an anti-aircraft gun similar to the one Hanoi Jane climbed astride during her infamous “traitors tour”.

And ironically, McCain the prisoner of war—who was tortured by the North Vietnamese—refused to meet with the Fonda delegation.

Precisely why is all of this ironic?

Because 30 years later, McCain—the former prisoner of war—is running for president, and Fonda—the former traitor “Hanoi Jane” has just (AND ONCE AGAIN) endorsed a McCain opponent, Barack Obama. Of course, the Obama's would never say that they are not proud of America or support others with anti-American views, right?
