Why is this man smiling? He has 4.2 million reasons.The political blog The Swamp reports that the Obamas had a very good year in 2007:
“Perhaps seeking to gain an advantage on a question about disclosure in tonight's debate, Sen. Barack Obama has released his 2007 tax return
and it shows that his household had a good year: $4.2 million in total income.
“Writing has been much more lucrative for Obama than politics, with his latest return showing his net profit from books at $3.9 million. He and his wife, Michelle, paid nearly $1.4 million in federal taxes last year, while making $240,370 in charitable contributions.”
